Brookside Court [3-18-21]

On the night of Thursday, March 18th, 2021 the Westbury Fire Department operated on the scene of a house fire on Brookside Court in the dead end off Plum Tree Road West. Firefighters put one hand line into operation for an electrical fire in the basement of a two-story split level style private dwelling. A secondary hand line was stretched and stood by at the front door in case it was needed. Hicksville was requested for an additional truck company to the scene [because Westbury had a ladder truck committed to a working fire in Garden City at the time]. A FAST was requested and Ladder 619 from East Meadow responded. There was minor extension to the first floor; however, the main body of fire was quickly knocked down. No working fire was transmitted, and all fire department units were the command of Westbury Second Assistant Chief Stewart [9602].
