Seasons 52 [4-1-16]
Late on the afternoon of Friday, April 1st, 2016 the Westbury Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at the Seasons 52 restaurant outside of Roosevelt Field Mall. The call was originally received as an automatic alarm with a disregard coming from staff at the restaurant. However, minutes later the staff called back and said they now had a smoke condition with possible fire in the walls. When the first fire department units arrived on scene they were met with a smoke condition and an odor of burning. Firefighters checked all parts of the building for possible sources and eventually determined that it was likely caused by excess smoke from cooking that led to a failure of the hood system. One line was stretched to the front door of the restaurant in case it was needed. All fire department units were under the command of Westbury Chief of Department Bartunek [9601].
